The post-death ceremonies or Pind Daan in Hinduism is a very spiritual aspect which takes place in the holy river Ganga. Kashi or modern-day Varanasi is the ideal place where most of the Pind Daan practices take place. It is a belief that people have their last rite done in Varanasi attains salvation or moksha i.e., freeing themselves from the karmic cycle of birth and rebirth. The city is known for many Pundits and Acharayas who are expert in Pind daan and other related rituals. Upon arrivals at Varanasi Airport/ Railway Station , our representative will meet and greet you. Later you will be transferred to your pre booked hotel and check-in. After refreshment in the evening experience the Ganga Aarti, it refers to the songs sung to praise the deity by offering the lamps. Hindus in India worship the river Ganges as goddess. Every evening in Varanasi, aarti is performed at Dashashwamedh Ghat. We can watch it from the ghat or from the waterside in a boat. It is a beautiful, resonant, and majestic spectacle with a very precise choreography involving rituals performed by several priests with the sound of bells, drums, cymbals, and sanskrit mantras & lamp; boating (Direct Payment) on the river Ganga. After aarti back to the hotel and overnight stay at Varanasi.
In the morning proceed for Pind Daan Rituals. It will take around 2-3 hours to perform entire ritual. Everything will be arranged by us. Then proceed to visit Old Kashi Vishwanath Temple, Annapurna Temple, Vishalakshi Temple and Kal Bhairav Temple. Post darshan drive back to the hotel.
Post breakfast drive out for the City Temple Tour – visit New Kashi Vishwanath Temple (BHU) also known as Birla Temple, Sankat Mochan Temple, Durga Temple and Tulsi Manas Mandir. Evening will be free to visit Varanasi Silk Market in the heart of the city which is famous for Banarasi Weaving style. Then drive back to hotel and overnight stay at Varanasi.
After breakfast check-out from the hotel and drive to visit Sarnath – the city of Lord Buddha where he came to preach his first Sermon after he achieved Enlightenment at Bodhgaya, It contains the most impressive remains, as well as a Modern Temple; visit the Mulagandhakuti Vihara (Main Temple), Archeological Museum, Chaukhandi Stupa, Dhamekh Stupa, Dharmarajika Stupa and various Monasteries.
After completing sightseeing you will be dropped at Varanasi Airport/Railway Station for Your Return/Onward Journey.
